Legal Regulation of the Organization and Activities of Political Parties in Russia Federation

This graduate paper is aimed at identifying and considering the legal status of political parties. The main objectives of the graduate paper are: 1) compare of OSCE recommendations on the legal regulation of political parties and current Russian legislation; 2) analyze the current legislation political parties and draw conclusions about how it corresponds to the development of democratic institutions. This paper consists of an introduction, four chapters, six paragraphs, a conclusion and a list of literature. The first chapter considers the sources of regulation of political parties, the second deals with the creation and registration of political parties, the third deals with the rights and duties of political parties, and the fourth analyzes the regulation of the financing of political parties. From the research, the following conclusions were drawn: OSCE recommendations were not heard by Russian lawmakers, bureaucratic obstacles remain on the way of registration of political parties, access to the media is still unresolved, except for the time of parliamentary parties at the media holding VGTRK . So, it is necessary to change the legislation and by-laws so that they are most conducive to the development of democratic institutions.
