Year of Graduation: 2018

The master's dissertation is an academic research, which aims to study dependence between personal events and the student's educational experience. An interdisciplinary analysis of existing approaches and understanding the events has been carried out, key structural components of phenomenological events have been identified, a conceptual definition of the event phenomena has been formed and empirically verified. The characteristics of the organizational component of the event and possible tools for tracking events are singled out. The role of the event in the structuring of social reality and the formation of the identity of the subject was noted. The expediency of using phenomenological methods as tools for analyzing the role of an event is argued. The analysis and subsequent interpretation of the data obtained in the empirical part of the work was carried out using qualitative and quantitative methods of statistical analysis of the event frequency, causal analysis, content analysis, etc. The empirical study made it possible to positively manifest the dependence of the significance of events in the student's educational experience for his subsequent life but based on the interpretation of the data obtained, a conclusion is drawn that the educational experience is insufficiently eventful. The results obtained during the dissertation research can be used by the heads of educational organizations, as well as by school teacher-organizers and tutors as a solid theoretical and methodological basis for analyzing existing event practices and constructing educational event environments that promote the growth of personal events, which is an important resource for individualization in education.
