ABSTRACT

The work is devoted to the study of modern information technologies of computer testing as a factor in the management of educational process and assessment tool for the quality of educational results of students receiving education in engineering. Improving the quality of industry education may, subject to the use of common information technologies of formation evaluation materials developed by educational institutions with the participation of structural subdivisions of JSC "RZD". This allows to estimate the level of formation of the pool of competences of students of the engineering directions of preparation. Tools assessing the quality of educational results of students are the system's cognitive simulation of regularities of development of competencies and dynamics of their formation, allowing the consumers of educational services and stakeholders to obtain objective information about the individual results of the educational process of the student, and to analyze and make decisions based on a wide range of tools. The purpose of the study is to find out how modern testing technologies affect the management of the educational process and on the quality of learning outcomes. Performed literature review in the substantive area of research, including the training and management of higher school, problems of assessing the quality of higher education and tools for independent assessment of the quality of training of students, different aspects of competitiveness of educational organizations in conditions of fragmentation of the global governance system in the market of educational services.
