Strategy for the Development of Master's Programs at FSBEI HE «Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University»

This dissertational work is devoted to the analysis of the magistracy's place in the regional basic university and the development of the strategy for the development of the magistracy at the NMSTU*. In modern conditions, most regional universities do not have a long experience in the preparation of masters. Questions about what each master program gives, what tasks it solves, what opportunities it represents for the development of the university as a whole, and how it shapes the production of highly qualified specialists, in particular, remain extremely relevant. The development of a strategy for the development of a master's degree in a basic university, the search for its target audience and ways to achieve competitive advantages represent a managerial and applied task of practical value. In the work the models of magistracy of universities in Russia and abroad are considered. The results of a pre-project study at the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. The paper presents the results of designing a strategy for the development of a master's degree in a core regional university, taking into account regional needs in personnel and the characteristics of a competitive environment, and on their basis a target model and scenarios for the development of a master's degree are developed at the NMSTU. On the basis of a realistic scenario for the development of the magistracy, a road map was developed containing strategic initiatives with target indicators and costs. *- Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University
