Designing Interdisciplinary Master Program «Digital Humanities (Philology)»

Master thesis is devoted to the designing of interdisciplinary master program 'Digital Humanities’. ‘Digital Humanities’ is chosen here as the key concept, reflecting a new, modern direction in the training of professionals, combining elements of digital technology and humanistic knowledge. Given literature review is devoted to the experience of development and implementation of educational programs on Digital Humanities. The paper examines the programmes of DH at European and North American universities. The informative analysis is carried out: curricula, disciplines, number of hours and credits, competence set and employment options of the graduate. Domestic educational programs in the field of DH are also analyzed, according to the same parameters as foreign. All the subsequent conclusion about the initial stage of design and implementation of such educational programs in university practice are taken into cosideration. The key points of the thesis are the collection and processing of the data (analysis of labor markets, interviewing students and academic staff, conducting the survey with stakeholders), SWOT and PEST analysis and ,finally, building a Gantt diagram illustrating the process of preparing and launching master program in the sphere of Digital Humanities.
