The modern efficiently developing insurance market is an important element of the national economy. The quality of the presence of an insurance element on a national scale depends on the characteristics of human capital in this sector. The Russian insurance market has a number of features that have a key influence on the training of modern professional personnel for the insurance industry in Russia. The present work is devoted to the organization of modern training of insurance specialists within the system of Russian higher education. Based on the general trends of development of the Russian insurance market, definitions of the main problems, assessments of resource opportunities and basic expectations of insurance companies, assessments of the level of confidence to the insurance companies from the end users of insurance services, their financial behavioral features when choosing insurance products; analysis of the existing training of insurance professionals in the system of higher education, assessments of educational trajectories of such specialists, developed in practice; assessments of the coordination of the professional field query (Insurance) and response variants to the request by the educational system, the project decision was formulated in the format of the Insurance Communications School.
