The purpose of this master’s thesis is comparative review of poems and letters of K. I. Galczynski and Russian military Poetry 1940-ies. The achievement of a goal assumes the solution of problems: 1) study the texts of letters and poems of K. I. Galchinski 1939-1946; 2) to implement them word for word translation in Russian language; 3) explore the principles of organization of the lyrical subject in the poems; 4) to study artistic techniques used by the poet; 5) to show the originality of poems of K. I. Galchinski, including on the basis of comparison of their themes, images, motives with themes, images and motives of military poems of the 1940-ies, which were written by Russian poets of the military generation, who are representatives of both official Soviet literature and "uncensored" poetry; 6) analyze the identified similarities and differences. The first chapter is dedicated to study comparative studies as a method of studying literature. The second chapter is about the stages of the life of K.I. Galchinski. The third chapter is devoted to study of the texts of poems and letters of the poet 1939 – 1946. In the fourth chapter the lyrics of K. I. Galczynski 1939 – 1946 is considered in comparison with Russian military poetry 40-ies. The result of the study is the discovery of typological analogies, the presence of which is explained by the time and conditions of creation of works, as well as cultural and historical proximity of the two Slavic peoples. On the other hand, the differences caused by political and social, cultural processes of life of Poland and the USSR, and individual, creative features of authors of the considered works are noted. The final qualifying work consists of 74 pages, includes 93 source.
