Specificity of the Development of Glossy Magazines in the Digital Environment

In this paper we present pecifics of development of tabloid press. Nowadays a lot of publications head over to a digital platform. Within the framework of the topic, work of several authors were analyzed. The articles vary in the frame of two aspects, that is, the history of development of glossy magazines and their convergence in new media. However, studies are little focused on the process of transition and adaptation of tabloid magazines to digital platforms, and the purpose of this study is to find out features of organizing the content of a tabloid magazine in digital environment. We will perform the analysis of content, interview experts, perform functional and structural analysis. The empirical basis of the study are magazines such as tabloid press as GQ, Esquaer, Forbes, Cosmopolitan. These magazines were selected, because they are in the Top 20 magazines of Russia, basing on audience and content, and also they have online versions. The results received in the end of study will help to identify peculiarities of the work of tabloid press in the digital environment and they will become a theoretical basis for further research
