Proposed goal of the research is to discover how Russia-United states relations are covered by American Press and how do American journalists establish public opinion. Methods that author had chosen are theoretical (in order to systematize general material) and empirical (comparison and specification). Also author is going to use the case-study method. As the materials for the research author had chosen the articles from May 2016 to May 2018 which were published in the most popular American journals and newspapers (New York Times, USA Today и Wall Street Journal), printed and online. The expected result of the research is the confirmation that American press does affect Americans and builds public opinion against Russia and its politics. Author wants to cover the topic in two or three chapters using references to history of Soviet Union-United States and Russia-United States relations, plus to have an analysis of articles by topics (politics, economic, culture and sport).
