The Phenomenon of Trolling in Modern Media: Issues of the Nature, Ethics and Legislation

Trolling is the kind of aggressive practice in the digital enironment and it is also the new multidisciplinary scientific phenomenon, which is now studied all over the world. Some researchers claim that such form of cyber-behavior is destructive and it influences public online discussion negatively. This study is an attempt to unite the Russian media experience of interactions with cyber-trolls, and then reveal tools, which new media can use to regulate trolls' behavior successfully. The research will be based on analysing historical backgroung of the trolling phenomenon, case-study and the expert interviews with the workers of Russian new media.
