This study focuses on relationships between the financial performance of companies at different stages of the life cycle and the set of personal characteristics of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The purpose of this study is to analyze how the personal characteristics of the management of the company may influence the financial performance of the company at different stages of the life cycle. This research is based on the Capital IQ database. The sample is composed of 77 Russian public companies. Gender, age, citizenship, education, tenure, independence and other personal characteristics of the CEO are used to determine their impact on the company's performance. The complexity of these studies refers to the search for data. In this paper, the company's return on assets (ROA) and the return on sales (ROS) are considered as the financial performance of the company. Then a regression analysis will be used to provide results about impact of the personal characteristics at different stages of the life cycle on the firm performance.
