The present work is devoted to study of the influence that the use of blockchain technology in employment relations can have on employment relations themselves as well as on their regulation. The basic aim of the research is to evaluate the readiness of the current regulation of employment relations in Russia for the application of blockchain in the organization of these relations and for the purposes of realization of the rights and fulfillment of the duties that derive from employment relations. The research is also aimed at introducing certain ideas on enhancing the current regulation based on the results of the evaluation described before. The study revealed that an active use of any cutting-edge technology, including blockchain, in employment relations can introduce new elements into their traditional concepts or even radically change them, making these relations not fully compliant with the existing legislative requirements. Accordingly, the work presents the changes that the regulation of employment relations in Russia should undergo in order to provide an adequate and effective application of blockchain and blockchain-related technologies in employment relations.
