Kinetics (kineticos) in translation from Greek means "movement". And what is "movement"? Movement is life. Studying kinetic art, it has become apparent that most artists are pushed into the world of kinetics by a desire to "revive" everything around. Despite the fact that everything in the technological world is developing at an incredible speed, only the sensual side of people remains motionless. The routine of the world has already become boring, and new technologies though amaze, but still do not give a full-fledged spiritual harmony. And the art is responsible for life philosophy. Science and art are two practically parallel ways of learning the world. And only at the moment when two completely different components merge together - there a true revolution begins. The revolution of body and soul. Mechanisms and thoughts. Beauty and engineering. Kinetic art can be both a movement and itself in motion. Works might be in motion on a natural and / or an artificial reason. And they can talk about the "movement" with the help of optical effects. Outstanding artists, sculptors and architects are assembled in this study, whose works directly include engineering technologies. All of them sought to erase the boundaries between the art and the outside world, get rid of static, overstep the bounds of traditions, teach the art moving, breathing, self-creating and self-destructing, making sounds, in short - to live. The structure of visual research is divided into separate blocks dedicated to each author respectively, which are accompanied by their catchphrases for a better and more accurate understanding of their personal philosophy and life position. And the works of the authors are divided according to the engineering principles of their movement (electric motor / light / sound / wind / electromagnet / etc).
