The Approach Development to Improve the Supply Chain Management of Multinational Corporations

The purpose of this dissertation research is to develop an approach to improving the supply chain management (SCM) of multinational corporations (MNCs) based on the systematization of scientific literature and reflecting the impact of such an approach on the practices of the SCM of MNCs. It is possible to achieve this goal through the fulfillment of a number of tasks, among which: the determination of the relevance of the topic of studying SCM in MNCs and its place in the modern Russian theory of SCM; an analysis of the basics of comparative management and tools for assessing national culture; systematization of scientific research characterizing the specific features of the SCM of TNCs; development of guidelines for a SCM manager in a global, cross-cultural environment; analysis of the activities of MNC and implementation of guidance in this corporation in order to increase its economic efficiency. The subject of the study are the supply chains of transnational corporations, in general, and the group of companies Inditex, in particular - the leader in the fast-fashion retail. The scientific novelty of the work consists, first, in systematizing the knowledge of the subject area, secondly, in developing guidelines for the manager of the SCM, and thirdly, in the example of the application of practices of related fields of knowledge (comparative management) in logistics and SCM. The practical result of the work is the proof of the economic effectiveness of the Guidelines and the demonstration of the application of its main provisions on the example of real MNCs, because of which the return on equity in the model of strategic profit increased by 1.32%.
