Topical Aspects of Occupational Safety and Health of Athletes

The master thesis is accomplished in the frame of sports law and employment and labour law of the Russian Federation. The study is directed at the exposure of the problematic issues, which concern providing of the protection of the workers in the sphere of sport and physical culture. The statements of the Russian laws, which are devoted to the protection of the life and the health of sportsmen within their training and competitive activity, are analyzed in the current thesis. The relevance of the research is confirmed by specific attitude toward sports and physical culture and by the meaning of sportsmen's status and achievements in Russia. The aim of the research is being clarified via touching upon the issues, concerning three aspects of the protection of workers in the sphere of sport - on-the-job safety, organization of events devoted to the protection of life and well-being of the sportsmen as well as on-the-job safety of female athletes. The concept of the dignified labour and its components is describe in the first chapter, as well thischapter sheds light on the conceptions of the legislation on the problematic issue, which are being elaborated in the Russian Federation in the last decade, and specifies the sport as a labour sphere. The master thesis is devoted to the clarification of each problematic issue. The first paragraph describes a on-the-job safety in the sport institutes - the instructions on the security of the sport institutes with regard to specific features of different sports. By application of the scientific analysis method of the juridical literature, the national legislation and the legal precedents, as well induces some modifications of the current legislation with regard to special features of the practical application of the legal regulations.
