The Legal Means to Ensure the Health of Sportsmen

The presented work is devoted to the study of legal means of ensuring the health of athletes. The purpose of this work is to analyze the regulatory and legal regulation of health protection of athletes. An attempt is made to analyze the general norms of the labor legislation on the protection of workers for their applicability to athletes, to study the specific features of the legal provision of health for certain categories of athletes: underage athletes, women athletes and athletes with disabilities. And also the task was set to investigate the regulation of the doping issue in the legislation. As a result, it was found that the general provisions of the Labor Code require more detailed regulation in relation to athletes, in particular in the area of working hours and rest time, additional regulation is required, in view of such a phenomenon as the sports regime, to insure athletes should establish a unified order and minimum requirements. In the context of the study of the legal provision of health for certain categories of athletes, additional ways of ensuring the safety of athletes were proposed, in view of their vulnerability. It was also found that in some cases, doping policy is contrary to the principles of ensuring the health of athletes. In view of this, the paper proposes options for its correction.
