Foreign Experience of Microinsurance and the Possibility of Its Application in Russia

This work is devoted to the study of the foreign experience in microinsurance and to the analysis of the possibility of its application in Russia. As the main tools are used theoretical analysis and theoretical modeling. The paper analyzes foreign approaches to the definition of key parameters affecting microinsurance, as well as the possibility of introducing microinsurance products in the Russian market. On the basis of the received data the theoretical descriptive model is constructed. In addition, was prepared a questionnaire that would be suitable for population surveys for the researches on potential demand for microinsurance services. In the end of the work there was described two potential microinsurance products that can be sold on the Russian market.
