Abstract of the master's thesis "Labour regulation of foreign workers in sport" by: Vorsina Anastasia Valeryevna Scientific Supervisor: d.j.s. prof. Buyanova Marina Olegovna Presented work is concerned with the intricacies of foreign labor regulation in sports industry. Moreover, the question of how the very presence of foreign labor affects the development of national sports in general, how appropriate it is to invite foreign experts, when there is an opportunity to educate athletes using available human resources. The aim of this work is to analyze theoretical and practical problems conceived by governmental foreign labor regulations in the field of physical culture and sports. This study is based on the following methods: comparative method, modeling, cause-effect relationship and analytical analysis. Viva: 1) We identified the necessity to review the existing system of the regulatory framework with regards to foreign workers employment procedures in Russian Federation, as well as the process of governmental relations. 2) Taking into account the specifics of the foreign citizens'/atheletes' legal status we propose to give actors the right to choose the type of contract (civil-law or employment) which they want to conclude. This proposal is grounded in, in our opinion, a rather controversial issue. Specifically the classification of athletes, coaches and other specialists in the field of physical culture and sports as "highly qualified specialists". 3) A number of proposals have been made to amend Russian legislation with regard to the regulation of foreign workers' work, namely, their involvement by sports federations and football clubs. 4) We reveal the inefficiency of the adopted strategies in the field of physical culture and sports and the established legislative restrictions on the participation of foreign athletes in all-Russian and inter-regional sports competitions are substantiated.
