The Funding Strategy of an Insurance Company

In this graduation qualification work investigates strategies for financing insurance companies, the specifics of their implementation and the principles of building strategies were explored. The financial indicators responsible for vital activity of insurance organizations were studied. The following financial indicators were considered: solvency as a sign of the choice of the best financing strategy, the impact of the value of own funds on the company's performance evaluation, profitability and insurance reserves as an estimate of unfulfilled liabilities. All of the above financial indicators helped to approach the problem of choosing the optimal financing strategy. All the main financing strategies in the insurance market were considered, more detailed attention was paid to the investment strategy. Also, an econometric model (regression) was constructed, which used 60 observations on the indicators of 30 insurance companies for 2015-2016. The regression model allowed to answer the question, what investment strategy should be used, which indicators of the insurance company should be invested more, in order to achieve an increase in the margin of solvency.
