The Responsibility of Sportsmen and Coaches for Violations of Sports Ethics

The purpose of this final qualifying work is to study sports ethics and manifestations of violation of ethical standards in sports. To achieve these goals, the following tasks were set: a) to define the concept of sports ethics; b) analyze the "Fair Play" movement as a modern element of sports ethics; c) examine the labor relations of athletes as an integral element of sports ethics; d) consider manifestations of violations of ethical norms in sport - corruption in sport, doping in sport, peculiarities of the legal nature of responsibility for violation of sports rules. Graduation qualification work consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusion and a bibliographic list. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical foundations of ethics in sports. In the second chapter, the author examines the manifestation of violations of ethical standards in sports. On the basis of the analysis, the following conclusions are formulated: First, at the heart of the notion of sports ethics is morality as a necessary quality for favorable, positive relationships between the participants in the sports process. Second, the "Fair Play" can be interpreted as a set of ethical laws of behavior in sports, based on the internal installation of all participants of a particular sport. Thirdly, in addition to ethical standards, the activities of professional athletes can be regulated by the norms of the labor law and the employment contract with the employer. Fourth, an effective fight against corruption should be based on the development and implementation of anti-corruption standards in the sports system. Fifth, the urgency of the fight against crimes in the field of sport. First, it is necessary to determine whether athletic responsibility relates to one of the types of legal responsibility.
