The purpose of this final work is to study the legal regulation of work of athletes, the development of legal regulation in the field of sports in the Russian Federation, the definition of measures to protect labor and health of athletes, the formulation of proposals for amending the legislation. Mention is also made of existing problems in this area, related to inadequate and sometimes controversial legal regulation.

The main objectives of this study: to analyze the Russian and international legislation relating to the issue of labor of athletes; consider specific features of the regulation of athletes, as well as modern trends in its further development.

The work includes an introduction, three chapters combining nine paragraphs, a conclusion, a list of used literature.

Chapter I is devoted to a general description of the legal regulation of labor of athletes. In Chapter II, we will take a closer look at the specifics of an employment contract with athletes. Chapter III deals with health and safety issues of athletes.

In the course of the work, some problems encountered in practice in this area have been identified; The most important condition is that the important role of agreements, treaties, acts of federations on certain sports in regulation of relations between the employer and the athlete is also revealed.
