Realization of information rights and freedoms in the Internet

This work examines the peculiarities of the realization of information rights and freedoms in the Internet. The paper considers the characteristics of the Internet, affecting both the realization of information rights and freedoms, and the process of regulating public relations on the Internet by the state. The objectives of the study were:: 1) defining the characteristics of the Institute of information and information rights and freedoms; 2) definition of the Internet as an environment for the realization of information rights and freedoms; 3) classification of different approaches to regulating relations on the Internet. The first Chapter is devoted to the consideration of information as a legal category, the analysis of the complex of information rights and the definition of the Internet as a sphere of public relations. In the second Chapter the author considers the peculiarities of realization of certain information rights on the Internet. In particular, the issues of the right to the Internet, the "right to oblivion" and net neutrality are considered. The paper analyzes the domestic and foreign practice of state regulation of social relations on the Internet. Different views on the possibility and necessity of regulating the Internet by the state are given.
