The purpose of the work was to identify the peculiarities of the legal regulation of working time and rest time, the payment of the work of pedagogical workers of secondary education. The legal status of pedagogical workers of secondary education is studied in the work; features of the right to engage in teaching activities; features of the conclusion of the labor contract with pedagogical workers of secondary education; "Normal mode of educational work"), rest time, remuneration of pedagogical workers of secondary education. The author also evaluated the prospects of reforming the legislation regulating the work of pedagogical workers in secondary education.
