Formation and Legal Status of Trade Unions in the United States

This research touches upon the problem of Labor Unions and their legal status in the United States. The objective of this research is to identify any reasons of main problems: why do most firms oppose unions organizing their workers, why are most workers nonunion, why has unionism declined consistently in the USA private sector and do labor unions have a future in the USA. The history of unions in the USA is a story of workers' struggle to organize unions and convince or force employers to recognize them for bargaining. The author describes theoretical and legislative aspects, analyzes national and international laws and regulations, makes an emphasis on the case studies.
