Legal Issues Concerning Assignment of Rights by a Contract

The graduation work applies to relevant issues in Russian civil law, concerning assignment of rights to performance of an obligation by a contract. The study aims to outlines advantages and disadvantages of the current regulation of the specified legal relationships and to point out the most relevant problems arising from an application of such regulation in practice. To obtain the mentioned aim the research involves an analysis of the legal nature of an assignment, its main characteristics, basic requirements for such a transfer of rights and an examination of the legal statuses of both contracting and third parties to the contract of obligation.
