The theme of visual research is the transformation of the national costume and culture of the peoples of Central Asia in the western environment. The aim of the project is to study national clothes and refuse components of a traditional costume, and what has become its replacement. Eastern culture is a frequent source of inspiration and is used by designers. However, these motives are also transformed, as a result of which the national components lose their individuality. This work is chosen based on a diploma and will help to identify the main features and details of national clothes. Based on this research to create a collection of clothes that subtly combines a progressive secular suit with colorful oriental aesthetics without losing the characteristics of cultures. The study was conducted in several stages. At the first stage, the countries of Central Asia were studied; eastern traditions of peoples, their external historical appearance, description of clothing. The characteristic features of each culture were highlighted. Further, the present time and changes in clothes were analyzed. Lastly, the use of eastern symbols in the fashion industry was studied. How national traditions can interact and transform without losing their identity. The reasons for replacing traditional clothing are the gradually spreading European fashion. It turned out that the closer the country is to Europe, the stronger the influence of its culture. So, in the countries of Central Asia, secular clothing and culture prevail. In remote areas and middle-aged people, accustomed to the old customs and traditions, this trend did not influence, but clothes become simplified and comfortable. So, the place of national cultures in the modern integration processes is very different: having deep traditions, they can withstand it, others will get lost in its flow; for the third, the processes of cultural hybridization and assimilation are characteristic.
