This paper is dedicated to Russian freight industry research. Also we investigate freight industry development experience in china, Brazil and USA. This analysis shows that the transportation system is a major part of the production and economic infrastructure of any modern country. In addition to the contribution to the national economy, transportation system serves as the material basis for securing foreign economic relations of any modern state. Moreover, theoretical studies and foreign experience analysis outlines that the development of the country's economy and the development of the freight industry are closely connected. In this regard, it should be noted that the introduction of modern technology and the adaptation of foreign experience during the development process of freight transportation industry in Russia can further stimulate economy growth.
