Throughout life a person is exposed to various dangers. Unfortunately, a person can not predict or completely get rid of risks. For this reason, people have always sought security and reliability. For this purpose people united in families, unions, guilds, and even in the state. In today's society, the role of state social protection of citizens remains important, but state guarantees usually provide protection and support at a minimum or inadequate level. However, there are alternative ways to reduce or prevent risks that can protect a person from the financial consequences of various hazards. And one of such ways is insurance. In the developing economy, the interest of citizens in protecting their personal non-material goods increases, which is confirmed by the fact that to date life insurance in the Russian market is the largest and fastest growing type of insurance. Moreover, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation was seriously interested in this type of insurance and even proposed the introduction of a new type of life insurance. However, in the Russian Federation, despite the significant volume of insurance premiums collected for this type of insurance for the recent period and a relatively high growth rate compared to previous years, the share of life insurance in the economy of our country remains insignificant compared to other countries, all this indicates problems , including legal ones, which must be eliminated for the further successful development of this type of personal insurance.
