Transformation of Operation Strategies of International Company Functioning in PET Industry under Unstable Economic Conditions in Russia by the example of Alco-Naphta JSC

The thesis is devoted to the transformation of the operations strategies of the international company under unstable economic conditions in the country of the company's formation on the example of the Russian company Alco-Nafta JSC operating in the polymer industry. The current work consists of three main parts: the first part covers theoretical aspects with an analysis of previous studies and various approaches to the strategy, including company strategies of companies operating in international markets, as well as the ways of adaption of operational strategies to the changing economic situation using instruments of strategic analysis ; The second part is an analytical one, it provides background information and analysis of the global PET industry and the PET industry in the Russian market, as well as the overview of Alco-Naphtha JSC. The second part includes research and analysis of internal and external factors of the industry and the company. The third part describes the impact of current economic conditions on the Russian PET industry, as well as the formation and further transformation of operation strategies of Alco-Naphtha JSC under conditions of unstable economic situation in the Russian Federation.The results of the current study are used for conclusions with subsequent recommendations, which are also included in the third part of the thesis.
