Museums in the last decade largely rethought the goals of their activities, began to work with a larger audience, "facilitated" the mode of communication and allowed "high" art to penetrate the lives of ordinary people. New technologies provide cultural institutions with effective tools for democratizing access to cultural institutions and engaging the audience in an open dialogue, as well as facilitating the exchange of ideas and knowledge. However, museums continue to express their concern about the loss of their traditional authority in the diversity of communication practices of the digital environment. How to meet the expectations of different audiences, while maintaining scientific and academic integrity? How to adapt to these rapid changes and use them for their own benefit? In this paper, an attempt is made to answer these questions, as well as highlight all the diversity of multimedia storytelling practices in modern museum communications.
