Media Representation of the ARAF Doping Scandal in the Framework of the Multi-Vocal Approach to Crisis Communications

The study is aimed to compare representation of the main causes and the image of the ARAF doping scandal 2015 in Russian and USA media. Analysis of press publications is made in the framework of the rhetorical arena theory, which represents the media as one of the "voices", i. e. are communicators having a stake in a crisis. The main goal of the study is to compare the media representation of the doping scandal, formed in Russia and the USA, and also to analyze the level of this theme politicization in each of the countries.... The results of the research will help PR specialists understand the voice of the media during the crisis and build up competent communication, and researchers - have a fresh look at crisis communications and ways to analyze them.
