This study is aimed at studying the trends of the EU migration policy under the conditions of a constant inflow of migrants in the period from 2015 to the present, as well as their further promotion to economically more developed countries. The paper analyzed the evolution of the EU strategy in addressing the problems related to the migration crisis, which made it possible to understand what mechanisms are already in use or will be used at all levels of migration policy in the EU, and to identify trends in this area. Such aspects were paid attention to:  review of existing conceptual approaches to the study of migration policy (liberal interveramentalism E. Moravczyk);  consideration of the stages and basic principles of the EU's overall migration policy, as well as the disclosure of the content of the main policy documents that determine the directions and instruments of EU policy in the field of migration.  analysis of the contradictions between the governments of the member states and the EU institutions on the compulsory distribution of refugees, as well as disagreements on the issue of migration, which divided the European community into Eurosceptics and supporters of integration;  review of the approaches taken by the EU member states to understand the trends in Europe. The rationale for the need for collective solution of the issue, the restoration of solidarity within the community. Particular attention was paid to the problems faced by the EU in a crisis directly related to the future of the EU as a single political entity, and considered the measures taken by the EU on the way out of the crisis. As part of the EU solidarity activities, on the way to Europe's exit from the crisis, the EU-Turkey deal (March 2016) was considered as one of the ways to transfer the problem of migrants outside the European Community. Its strengths and weaknesses, as well as expert opinions on this issue have been analyzed within this research.
