Robo-journalism in the Russian-language Environment: the Analysis of the Current State and Prospects of Development

Aims for the research are an analysis of robotic journalist’s texts and the creation of a list of recommendations on the improvement of automatic text generation algorithms. Also in the master's thesis are the results of a literary review on the topic of robot-journalism (Dorr K., Graefe A., Ivanov D.A., Zamkov A.V., etc.), describes the development stages of the sphere abroad and in Russia, generation of texts in the editorial offices of the media (Los Angeles Times, Forbes, Associated Press, The Financial News, Sports.ru, TASS). The mathematical models and methods are based on which algorithms are formed, the main types of robotic journalists (template and neural network) are identified, typological analysis of the inflectional and inflectional analytical languages (Russian, English, German) is carried out, linguistic features influencing the development of the automated journalism on the morphological, syntactic, semantic levels. Morphological analysis of the texts in Russian and English languages was carried out using the program code in Python 3.
