The contribution of international business incubators and accelerators in developing a mature start-up: the example of Wayra accelerator

This paper studies the contribution of international business incubators and accelerators in developing a mature startup on the example of Wayra accelerator. It gives a definition of mature startup and success. This work aims at elaboration of strategy of successful acceleration for mature startups in order to improve the ability to raise capital. The research suggests that among essential elements composing the efficient incubation strategy can be listed deep sector focus, incubatees selection events, fixed timeframes of acceleration, elaboration of a clear communications strategy, access to international databases and an ability of accelerator to internationalize its incubees. Wayra accelerator is chosen for the case study as an example of productive and effective incubation.
