The Role of Islamic Banking in the Development of Economic Cooperation between Malaysia and Countries of the Middle East

This paper analyzes how the Islamic banking influences Malaysia's external economic relations with the countries of the Middle East. Currently, Malaysia is recognized as a leader in Islamic finance. The country takes the first places in terms of the number of operations in the Islamic banking sector and Islamic capital markets. Moreover, Malaysia takes the lead to other states, which embark on a course of creation two-component financial system. Therefore, other Islamic countries are trying to adopt Malaysian experience to develop their economy and international trade. The purpose of this work is to estimate the role of Islamic banking in the development of economic cooperation between Malaysia and countries of the Middle East. The result of this work is estimation of impact of Islamic banking on the development of foreign economic relations between Malaysia Middle Eastern countries.
