Evaluation of Factors of Digital Economy Development in Developed and Developing Countries

The thematic justification of the thesis is that development of the digital economy positively impacts economy. The major hypothesis is the supposition that technological development factors positively influence networked readiness index. The objective of the research is to find factors of digital economy development in developed and developing countries. The thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter the major economic growth theories were investigated, definitions of digital economy and methods of its measurement were examined. In the second chapter the supposition about influence of networked readiness index on GDP was confirmed with the help of econometric analysis. In the next research significant variables influencing networked readiness index were investigated. In the third chapter digital economy policies in the countries of European Union and Russian Federation of were analysed. In the end of chapter recommendations for digital economy development in Russian Federation were suggested.
