In this paper, anti-corruption rhetoric is considered in the context of the electoral process, which acts as a tool for the struggle for power. The relevance of the research is that, to date, corruption in Russia and the growing degree of its negative impact on the development of the state are acquiring new dimensions. The purpose of this work is to identify the actual role and places of the anti-corruption component on the political agenda of the country. The work is a detailed study of theoretical and practical aspects related to the understanding and perception by the representatives of the authorities of anti-corruption policy as a strategic function of the state.
