Mongolia's neighbours in northeast Asia for the most part, do not possess the sources of power generation and, subsequently, has shortage of cheap electricity. It is, therefore, Mongolia's policy to look at exporting electricity to its neighbours, for whom power generation is expensive and complex. The present thesis is devoted to the current Mongolian energy situation, future trends, energy policy and renewable resources.
