Gender Policy of the Russian Federation and Commercials: the Problems of State Regulation

In this paper we studied the issue of the gender policy of the Russian Federation in the field of media, in particular in the field of commercial advertising. In the course of the study, the decisions of the FAS (as an authorized state body in the issue of advertising regulation) were made on the cases brought under Article 5. of Part 6 of Federal Law No. 38 "On Advertising", conclusions were drawn on the basis of the sample analysis. The work also examined the experience of international regulation of sexist advertising content.
