The history of Egypt knows a number of reforms which changed its judicial system significantly. The modern judiciary of Egypt is just another stage of the development of the apparatus originated two centuries ago. This study aims to describe the process of evolution of the system in its historical retrospection and, moreover, to find out about the circumstances, features and results of the transformations which took place in the region during the period under review.
