Year of Graduation: 2018

Keywords: theory of constraints, material flow management, production logistics, "drum-buffer-rope", SMED. The purpose of graduate qualification work (GQW) is" improvement of internal production logistics in LLC “Henkel Rus” based on theory of constraints (TOC). The following issues have been identified during the analysis of logistics activities: frequent out-of-stock situations regarding regularly produced assortment; delays in timings of new products introduction; a long production cycle, the accumulation of semi-finished products between production stages. This GQW has come with the following recommendations: using the buffer management to ensure the guaranteed operation of the identified constraints; establishment of control points that determine the rhythm of the entire production system to reduce the number of unfinished goods; use of copacking to increase the capacity of filling lines; using SMED method to shorten the duration of the production cycle. The economic feasibility of the practical application of the proposed recommendations was proved. As a result, the ROE ratio in the model of strategic profit grew by 19.4 %. Net GQW: number of pages - 72, number of figures - 24, number of tables - 10, references – 25.
