Current Challenges to Transatlantic Relations

These days the disagreements between the United States and the European Union are getting more and more obvious. These disagreements are caused by modern and in many ways unique challenges which for the first time in the history of transatlantic relations may not only lead to the changes within the US-EU partnership but also threaten the cooperation between the actors and the system of international relations as a whole. Giving that, the purpose of the study is to identify current challenges of transatlantic relations, analyzing their true nature in context of the regime theory, and also to indicate possible outcomes of each challenge for regional and international security. The given study provides a theoretical and practical analysis of the modern US-EU problems and also includes their classification which allows to establish the level of influence of each controversial issue on the future of transatlantic relations.
