Educational Programme: Control Systems and Data Processing in Engineering (Master)

Final Grade: 10

Year of Graduation: 2018

The investigation presents the study of the Wang-Landau algorithm, which calculates the density of states via the random walk in the energy space. The purpose of this work is to give analytical structure of matrix transition elements, compute them exactly for the one-dimension case of Ising model. We explain how to control the accuracy of estimating the density of states. We also demonstrate preliminary results of the investigation of the properties of the Markov random walk in the energy space generated by the Wang-Landau probability.
