Object of the study: public relations associated with the moral and ethical grounds of the advocate. The subject of the study: normative legal acts and jurisprudence in this field, as well as scientific and educational literature that studies the moral and ethical grounds of the advocate's activity. The purpose of the study: the identification and study of problems related to the moral and ethical grounds of the advocate. Research methodology: the study is based on the dialectical theory of scientific knowledge, the unity of logical analysis and historical development. The methodology of this master's thesis is a set of methods of scientific knowledge used to achieve the purpose of the dissertation research. Such methods include, in particular, the systems approach, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparative legal, formal legal and other private scientific methods that allow to ensure the reliability and validity of the conclusions and proposals put to the defense. The first chapter of this study is devoted to the study of the specifics of the content and social value of advocacy ethics in Russia and foreign countries, the analysis of professional and moral and psychological requirements for a lawyer in Russia and foreign countries, the consideration of the legal framework for advocacy ethics in Russia and their systematization in the course of judicial and legal reform. In the second chapter, moral and ethical requirements for the preservation of the lawyer's secrets and the problem of the independence of the lawyer in the choice of the position in the case and its conduct are examined, moral and ethical rules of the lawyer's behavior in the media and the Internet are analyzed (taking into account Russian and foreign practices) independence of the lawyer when choosing a position on the case and its conduct.
