The Changing Image of the Afrikaner in the Soviet Press during Apartheid in South Africa (1948–1991)

In this work, an analysis is made of the character of the perception of the Afrikaners during Apartheid by the Soviet press. The main purpose of the research is to investigate the image of Afrikaners based on materials from the Soviet newspapers published from 1948 to 1991 covered foreign policy of the time. In this paper, I will focus on the characteristics of Afrikaners in the Soviet press. Also, I will deal with the transformation of the image of Afrikaner. Moreover, the research will be about purposes of this perception of Afrikaners.
