Student: Kusachev Andrei

Supervisor: Aleksandr Tuv

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Information Science and Computation Technology (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2018

During the work on recording studio students Kusachev and Osipov were analysing the work of the recording engineer which showed that there is a need to develop technical system of operational control of the positioning of the microphones in the studio when creating a soundtrack. The development of a system for controlling the position of the microphones is the topic of this work. After analyzing the typical layout of well-known recording studios, the work of the sound engineer, the influence of different positions of the microphone relative to the instruments on the phonogram was formed the basic idea of the remote control system of the microphone unit. This system should allow the sound engineer to control the position of the microphone without leaving his workplace. In the main purpose of the work is the search of the existing functional analogues, the requirements to the composition of the system components were formulated, the structural scheme and the algorithm of the system were developed. Also developed circuit diagrams and circuit boards of the system, developed software, made a prototype on which was tested in the MIEM HSE laboratory.
