With the emergence of the state and the right to freely move around and choose a place of residence for people has become significantly limited. The regulation of the right to freedom of movement and choice of residence is an important element of a democratic society. In this regard, the purpose of the study is to analyze the constitutional right to freedom of movement, choose the place of residence and residence in the Russian Federation, study the mechanism for its implementation, and formulate proposals for improving legislation in this area.
