The approaches of Russia and OPEC in regulating the world oil market under high oil price volatility conditions

This work is devoted to the role of Russia and The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC ) in the world oil market and their impact on price trends. The topic is relevant due to the high volatility of oil prices in recent years. In this work pricing mechanisms in the world oil market, the reasons of price fluctuations, features of participation of the key players in processes of pricing, feature of economic policy of Russia and OPEC countries in the area of oil pricing will be considered. The author will also consider the influence of the shale gas revolution in the USA on the system of the world energy market. The author will analyze shifts in the world oil market which have arisen after the shale gas revolution in the USA. In this paper the author uses articles of both foreign and national experts in the field of the oil sector.
