Migration processes are the driver of the world economy and are becoming more complex with the development of globalization. This forces countries to pursue a comprehensive migration policy. Inefficient migration policy leads to an economic, social and political crisis in the host country. It is generally accepted that the effectiveness of policy determines the balance between the social and economic components, that is, the most attractive countries should guarantee not only economic well-being, but also respect for rights. However, countries with the most aggressive migration policies accept the largest number of migrants, not always offering competitive wages and depriving migrants of most rights. In this research we will discusses the evolution of migration policies of the Gulf States: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
