FTAAP: Evolution and Strategic Risks

This study analyzes the strategic risks and the evolution of the FTAAP. Research is based on the experience of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Comprehensive regional economic partnership. Using the method of content analysis, the author distributes the obtained factors relative to the probability of their occurrence and the severity of the consequences. To illustrate the obtained results, author developed risk matrix, which allows to demonstrate the fact that the project of the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Zone can not be signed by the APEC member countries, as it goes against their national interests.
